District Character
Stare Miasto
The most central part of Wrocław: the Market Square, Kazimierza Wielkiego area, Przedmieście Świdnickie and Ostrów Tumski nearby. It offers the best access to services, restaurants and public transport, but also higher prices and more tourist traffic.
Śródmieście
Nadodrze, Ołbin, Plac Grunwaldzki, Biskupin and Sępolno make this district very diverse: from tenements and universities to green neighborhoods by the Odra. It works well for people who want to stay close to the centre without living directly at the Market Square.
Krzyki
Southern Wrocław with popular areas such as Gaj, Borek, Huby, Jagodno and Ołtaszyn. Krzyki is strong in services and new development, but commute times from the southern estates need to be checked carefully.
Fabryczna
The largest district by both area and population: from Gądów and Popowice to Leśnica, Maślice and the airport area. It offers a broad choice of flats and houses, with location quality changing noticeably between neighborhoods.
Psie Pole
North and north-east Wrocław: Karłowice, Różanka, Sołtysowice, Widawa and Psie Pole-Zawidawie. This part of the city has more greenery and calmer housing, but tram, bus and car connections should be checked before buying.
